Twenty-five months. Are they serious?
Can you believe the audacity of traditional publishers? My agent, a kind and generous man, tirelessly touted the manuscript of An Evil Shadow to the usual publishing houses, but was unable to secure a deal. I eventually self-published the title as an e-book and sales have generally been good. Spectacularly good with some distributors, less so with others.
However, in the last couple of months several publishing houses have approached me with an interest in securing the rights to An Evil Shadow. Two of whom, having turned down the book originally, are now singing its praises. Yet another took twenty-five months to come back with an offer. Is it any wonder Indie publishing is on the rise?
