love the val bosanquet series, as NOLA is one of my favorite places to visit. There are such a quick-paced read and really keep one on one’s toes.
One caveat though, you may need a better editor, since there are some grammatical errors in the 1st book and a few american idioms that have gone astray.
Now that I see you’re from across the pond, that explains a lot.
Can’t wait for the next book!

Margaret, have just finished (Monday) an edit on An Evil Shadow, which should have eliminated most of the errors. A lot of these were caused during scanning from a hard copy. I realize that some British turn of phrases creep in from time to time, and in the later books I have had American beta readers give the manuscript the once over, Though it’s amazing the different viewpoints that process can elicit. Thanks for taking the time to comment, much appreciated, and I’m glad you like the Bosanquet series.

Read my first book, An Evil Shadow, from BookBub. I enjoyed the subject matter and writing style enough that I bought the next one, Death Sentence. I truly enjoy reading your books but you MUST do something about the editing.

      Hi Bill,
Thanks for your kind comments on An Evil Shadow, much appreciated. You will be glad to hear that I have uploaded (yesterday}a revised version which should address most of the editing problems. Many of the typos were caused during the scanning and had lingered despite my best efforts to remove them.
      Best Regards,
      AJ

      Hi Alice,
Thanks for your kind comments about An Evil Shadow. I would be interested in hiring a proof reader for my next Bosanquet book, due out next summer. I am keen to ensure no British/Irish terms creep in.
      Regards,
      AJ

    AJ,

I could be just your person. My husband is an O’Carroll. His mum is from Tipperary and his dad is from Co. Kerry and he grew up in England, so I am very familiar with the British and Irish terms, as well as the differences in spelling of certain words. I would be honored to help you!

      Alice,
Thanks for letting me know. I’ll bear you in mind when my next manuscript is ready. Tell your father-in-law that I have a son who works for Tralee Chamber of Commerce in County Kerry. He was student union president in the local IT. Unfortunately, Tralee is at the other end of the country from where we live.

      Regards,
      AJ
